Charcoal

Charcoal is a great medium to achieve smooth texture and impression. It is a looser style than the detailed style achieved with fine pencils and can beautifully capture the expression of a pet in a simple and natural way. 

 

It is not essential for Hannah to have a high quality photograph to create a charcoal drawing and so is perfect for those instances when you only have an old photograph of your pet.
